Mentalix™ Launches Certified High-Volume Fingerprint Card Scans on Newly Developed Mentalix ADF R3™ Feeder

Press Release
February 9, 2016

PLANO, Texas — Mentalix (www.mentalix.com) announces that the company’s most recent Fingerprint Scan API Toolkit™ has achieved FBI IAFIS IQS certification for use with the Epson 11000XL document scanner, combined with the Mentalix ADF R3 high-volume automated document feeder. Systems integrators and developers use the Fingerprint Scan API Toolkit to add pre-certified fingerprint card scanning interfaces to their customized software products.

Mentalix also utilizes its Fingerprint Scan interface within the company’s FS Card Processing™ (FSCP) systems to enable law enforcement agencies and governments to digitize existing stores of fingerprint cards. The FS Card Processing system allows users to capture and store fingerprint card images in electronic archives for online examination. Additionally, FSCP enables storage of captured fingerprint and palm print data in Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) that can be used to perform identification matches against fingerprint cards in seconds without the need for specialized expertise and tedious manual processes in using hard cards.

“To our knowledge, our new certified Mentalix ADF R3 solution is the only low- to mid-range certified automated document feeder solution available on the market today,” Mentalix President Brian Gross said. “We formerly supported an off-the-shelf product that was removed from the market over two years ago and have been working on a replacement solution ever since. Now, we have a viable solution that not only addresses the void in the market, but also is developed specifically to overcome the limitations of the prior systems that were available. We have said goodbye to rollers, convoluted paper paths and equipment that is very sensitive to paper thickness and condition. We truly believe that this solution is a big step forward. Mentalix’s fingerprint card conversion center is already using this product, and we are now offering the same quality solution to law enforcement, integrators, and state/local/national government, both domestically and internationally. We are excited to launch this new product.”

In addition to adding the Epson 11000XL/Mentalix ADF R3 scanning option to its FSCP card scan solutions, Mentalix also offers certified fingerprint card scan services, API products, and live scan solutions for developers and systems integrators.
