PLANO, Texas — Mentalix (www.mentalix.com) announces that the company’s most recent CardPrint API Toolkit™ has achieved FBI IAFIS IQS certification for use with the Lexmark™ MS810 monochrome printer. The CardPrint API Toolkit is used by systems integrators and developers to add pre-certified fingerprint card printing interfaces to their customized software products. Mentalix also utilizes its CardPrint interface within the company’s Fed Submit live scan systems to enable law enforcement agencies to print fingerprint and palm print cards on the MS810 printer. When the MS810 printer is used in conjunction with the CardPrint software, the resulting cards are of sufficient quality for identification purposes.
“Several of our customers have inquired about getting a certified card printing solution for use with the Lexmark MS810 printer, because it is a newer, faster model than some of the older printers that are currently in use,” Brian Gross, Mentalix President, said. “In response to customer demand, we are pleased to offer an interface that has already been certified for FBI IAFIS IQS requirements.”
In addition to adding the CardPrint/Lexmark MS810 printing option to its Fed Submit live scan systems, Mentalix also supplies the CardPrint API Toolkit as an SDK (Software Development Kit) for systems integrators. The CardPrint API Toolkit works as an add-on to Mentalix’s other fingerprint and scanning API products; these products enable capabilities such as certified card scanning, certified WSQ compression, and certified JPEG 2000 compression.
Incorporated in 1987, Mentalix develops certified fingerprint acquisition solutions for both end users and systems integrators. The company leads the industry with the most IAFIS-compliant fingerprint solutions, and its API products are used as key components in turnkey systems by many of the top biometric developers worldwide. Mentalix recently expanded its offerings to provide card conversion services for law enforcement agencies that may have hundreds or thousands of fingerprint cards on file and wish to convert the hard cards to more accessible electronic archives. Mentalix maintains its headquarters north of Dallas in Plano, Texas.
