This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data
from mobile applications published by Mentalix, Inc.
- Fed Submit Mobile —
com.mentalix.fedsubmit.mobile
You do not need to install the application or sign in to submit a request.
How to submit a request
Use either method:
-
Email info@mentalix.com
with the subject “Account and Data Deletion Request.” -
Open a support ticket at
mentalix.freshdesk.com.
Please include the email address associated with your account, and your agency
or organization name if you were issued access by one.
We verify that a request originates from the account holder before deleting
anything. If your account is associated with a law enforcement or government
agency, we may confirm the request with that agency, which controls
authorization for its own users.
What Mentalix deletes
On a verified request, we permanently delete the following from
Mentalix-controlled systems:
- Your authentication account, including your email address and stored password credential
- Your unique user identifier
- Your user record, which contains your user identifier and email address
- Your mobile telephone number, where one was enrolled for two-factor authentication
- Your authorization record with any agency that granted you access
If you created an account that was never approved by an agency, it still
contains the information above. You may request its deletion using this page,
and we will process it directly.
What Mentalix does not hold
The application does not store fingerprint, palm print, or other biometric
images on Mentalix servers. Biometric data captured during a transaction is
transmitted to the system operated by the submitting agency and, where
applicable, onward to federal or state identification repositories.
-
Agency records. Transaction and biometric records held by the
submitting agency are controlled by that agency, not by Mentalix. Requests
concerning those records must be directed to the agency. -
Federal and state repositories. Biometric submissions accepted
by the FBI or a state identification bureau become records of those systems
and are governed by their retention rules. Mentalix cannot delete them.
What is retained
-
Security and access logs required to protect the service against unauthorized
access, retained for 90 days. - Business and billing records retained as required by law.
Timeline
We acknowledge requests promptly and complete verified deletions within
30 days. Residual copies in encrypted backups are removed on
our normal backup rotation.
